A Summer of Memories!

Fun Day 12 (1)
As the (often wet and windy) summer of 2023 draws to a close, we are reflecting on the memories made over the last couple of months. From fun days out to holidays with family and friends, this summer has been one to remember. Two of our favourite memories of the summer are the family fun days that we held for our wonderful foster carers and their families.

Back in June, our West Wales carers were blessed with glorious sunshine at their summer BBQ. Our foster families were joined by two very special guests, Spiderman came along, and brought one of the minions with him too!

As well as being able to meet some of their favourite characters, our foster carers and children were treated to some beautiful BBQ food prepared and served by our wonderful Carmarthen team, and lots of activities including a sunflower growing competition, a disco, and a big bouncy castle!

Last week our South East Wales foster carers got together after having their event, originally planned for July, postponed due to bad weather. The afternoon was well worth the wait. It was jam-packed with activities, from giant Connect 4 to carnival games and popcorn. Not forgetting a magic show and balloon art!

By the end of the afternoon, there were many glitter tattoos on display as well as countless smiles and lots of laughter! It was the most perfect way to end the summer holidays.

We love getting our foster carers together and showing our appreciation and gratitude for everything that they do. It was heartwarming to see so many children and young people at both events, having fun and playing with their friends.

We can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner and are looking forward to seeing all our foster carers together then. In the meantime, preparations are underway for one other very special new event that we look forward to revealing soon!
